If you can hang in there until after dark the
fair is a totally different place than it was during the day. After dark the children are now grooming horses between text messages from friends and having some leisure time to just hang out. The crowds have now died down and the faint sounds of music being played at various stages throughout the fairgrounds can be heard between the screams of fright and pleasure from the amusement rides. For many of us the Fair signifies a time to get more serious about the coming of winter and a chance to do that one last thing that will make life a bit easier. But for now take time out from daily chores and go to the fair and relax, you deserve it.
